Manufacturing unit devised process for work from home during COVID-19

A is a small shirt fabricating unit that is making Men’s shirt for a particular brand. Prior to COVID the manufacturing process was conducted at one place but due to COVID protocol it became necessary to devise the process for workers’ to do work from their homes.

The workers allowed to do work from home were divided according to respective area of their skill and specialization. They were provided with specific tools and equipment at their residence.

Every day the vehicle will pick up and drop to the next station the semi finished product to the next station on determined intervals till the final product for delivery. The cycle was designed as per company’s procedure vis.

The system was coordinated thru use of zoom and WhatsApp with individual worker and group to maintain productivity and output. This was possible to retain the workers and the company going.
